The initial assessment seeks to identify three categories:
- Legal Reserve
- Permanent Preservation Area (APP)
- Forest surplus
The eligibility analysis initially focuses on surplus areas, according to the project’s technical and legal criteria. The absence of surplus areas may make this specific monetization modality unfeasible, without excluding other environmental opportunities.

FAQ
You have questions. We have answers.
By joining Armadillo, do I lose any rights over my land?
There is no automatic transfer of title, possession or ownership. The proposed work is technical, legal and commercial around the forest asset and must be formalized in a specific contract, preserving the owner’s rights according to the agreed conditions.
Does forest monetization interfere with my agricultural operation?
The initial analysis separates productive areas, Legal Reserve, APP and forest surplus. Any project must be designed to respect the farm’s regular operation and the applicable technical, environmental and contractual limits.
What is the legal assurance for the credits generated?
Law No. 15,042/2024 and the SBCE create a relevant regulatory framework, but each asset depends on methodology, registration, audit, independent validation and applicable classification. Not every certificate should be presumed to automatically become a CRVE or ITMO.
What happens in case of fires, pests or invasions?
Well-structured projects may include geospatial monitoring, response protocols and contractual safeguards. These mechanisms reduce risks, but do not eliminate natural, operational or third-party events.
How does the project work in family succession or sale of the farm?
The contractual structure can be analyzed to coexist with succession, asset reorganization or sale. The treatment of rights, obligations and revenue must be defined case by case with legal support.
Is there a risk of the farm being pledged for third-party obligations?
The proposal does not assume placing the land as real collateral. Even so, any contract must be reviewed to confirm whether there are obligations, restrictions or commitments that affect credit, rural insurance or banking operations.
